One of the best Rail Trails I've ridden. Paved and flat. Benches and picnic tables along the route. Great for walking, running or biking. Food and drinks available along the route. Free parking at many intersections.

Very nice bike trail. Well equiped - water stations at regular intervals, some bike tools at the trail head. It's a bit too short to my taste, just ~11 miles, but that's just me.

Great trail goes from Pittsfield to North Adams now great things to see along the way.

Very pretty rail trail. We walked there in the early morning. Paved trail with trees and water/bogs on the sides.

The trail only goes along one side of the reservoir. The other side is private property.
Yes it's free
Go and try to find it yourself, you won't be wasting your time, is the most beautiful trail in western Massachusetts, good luck.
Yes, we rode the entire trail last Saturday.
During construction of the original railroad, the company was acquired by Western Railroad. I'd guess that the W pillars are a vestige from that time.
They are doing some repairs in some spots. Not sure exactly when it will all be done. The end by Sears at the mall is open now though.
Looks like this year it will be in a couple of weeks- leaves are a little late this year!
Yes. There is a bike store in adams that rents bikes
