Brought my friend from Virginia on a hike here, and we finished it with some plein air painting! Been coming since a child, its not incredibly intense for a hike, and the place is beautiful! No mountain biking or bikes in general are permitted, and parking does cost money, but again, worth it!

One of our favorite parks in the region. Kids love climbing over the huge boulders. We all enjoy the tranquil walk throughout the many winding paths.

Beautiful place, and a good bit of trails other than the main attraction of the chasm. Don't remember it being 20 bucks to park from out of state though

This place was way prettier than I expected! The chasm part itself might be a little hard to navigate especially with dogs or small children (I almost brought my pup but I was glad I did not because she would not have been able to climb through the chasm) but the trails around it are really clean and well marked. Had a great time here and a ton of fun climbing through the chasm!

It’s $5 for Mass residents and $20 if you have out of state plates. I went today and I’ll never go back now.
I'm not quite sure and there's so much to search there are tons of good spots
Yes!
Yes
You can bike on the many trails outside the chasm. They're well marked.
Yes, they are at the Ranger station right at the entrance
There are several paved sidewalks around the park that you can walk, however none of these paths go into the chasm.
The one in sutton, I didn't see any place to swim, but the one in Rhode island I think you can. There's 2 purgatory chasm
The last time someone died at the chasm was 2012. A man committed suicide by jumping to his death. Yes, the chasm can be dangerous if you go off the path. There are signs posted with warnings and disclaimers.
I'm pretty sure the parking is an all day pass
There's a small outdoor pavilion near the entrance with a couple picnic tables. It's just a roof, though it should keep you out of the rain
Years ago we had our family reunion there. My cousin inquired & got us the pavilion. No problem. No charge. ♥️♥️♥️
Ask rangers in visitor station
Yes, for parking. It is $5 for a Massachusetts resident and $10 for a non-Massachusetts resident.
For a Massachusetts resident it is $5 and for a non-Massachusetts resident it is $10 to park.
Hello, Phillip. Military personnel. New area. Hello.
Rock climbing is allowed but you need to apply for a permit.
There are a lot of trails that are flat, not actually passing into the chasm itself. If you are worried, hike down the left side, then back up into the chasm itself. Starting straight into it might be tough for smaller kids...though yhey might love it.
