I can’t say enough about Laura as a warm, caring, charismatic, kindhearted person and a dedicated professional. She truly has changed my life and countless others so we can go on living our best selves. I had major cervical spine surgery and I never knew that I could go back to my old self with no pain and no limitations, but Laura developed the best exercise routine for my injury and now I can go back to living! She was such a pleasure to see every week, it always made my day!!! She is really the best physical therapist and person.. Go see her!!!!!! You will have your life back! With lots of gratitude, Lisa Grant

Very happy so far. Believe this will take a while, but definitely on the right path. Laura is easy to work with, answers all questions. She's somewhat demanding, but truly professional! I have to do my part!

Laura is absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend her if you’re in need of physical therapy! I came in with a pretty serious running injury and thought I’d need months of PT but with Laura’s help and encouragement, 2 months post injury I’m back to hiking and doing the active things that I love. Cried happy tears while leaving my last appointment today - very grateful!

Physical therapy is not meant to hurt, but to relieve pain. However, as you restore your mobility, pain levels, at times can fluctuate. You might experience some temporary soreness from using muscles that are weakened or recovering. This is a normal response to therapy treatment. Good communication with your therapist will help minimize any discomfort. We want you on your way to quick pain relief and back to normal activities.

What is physical therapy?

Physical therapy is a medical, hands-on approach to relieving pain and restoring function. Physical therapists are medical experts in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and work closely with physicians. Our physical therapists evaluate your movement patterns, identify the cause of your pain, and work to eliminate it. While every patient's condition and pain is unique, your physical therapist will use a variety of gentle hands-on techniques, exercises, and equipment to relieve pain quickly and restore your function to optimum levels. The overall goal is to restore pain-free mobility and function and to prevent the injury or pain from recurring.

Need PT that addresses what I have -- Brown-Sequard Syndrome -- was stricken with transverse myelitis in Sept. 2019 -- have had traditional PT since October but was just diagnosed with B-S and am told I really need neurological PT. Do you do that?

Good Morning. I am sorry to hear about your troubles. I am an orthopedic certified specialist and am well versed in exercises and would love to help you. If you want to see a neurology specialist, I understand. I would recommend going to the APTA.org website and use the Find A PT option. You can plug in Neurology for a specialty and it will pop up with names of people in your area. I wish you the best and if I can be of any further assistance, please give me a call at 617-864-4200.
