I was at the store on March 17, 2022, late afternoon. There was signs on the two entrance doors, Masks Required. When I walked in and went to get a cart, the cashier was not wearing a mask. Later, when I checked out she was not wearing a mask. I asked if the current policy was everyone in the store was to wear a mask. She said, yes. I asked why her mask was down near her neck. She said "It keeps slipping." The store was in the worst shape with piles of unopened boxes in almost all the aisles, inventory on the floor not picked up and put back on racks or shelves, potential slip/fall hazard, one had to do a "slalom" down the aisles. I had asked on entering where I could find a certain item and was told Aisle 4. Unless I missed it, I did not see any numbering for the aisles. Does anyone know where it is? And as shoppers now know the $1/item is now $1.25/item in many cases. I purchased a lot of greeting cards. The cashier's handling of them, bendingtossing, led me to ask her if she couldn't be more careful in their handling. I think my one star from years ago, still stands. However, the store was busy and customers were coming and going frequently. Oh, if you look up at the ceiling in front of the store there is a huge hole where the ducts can be seen and on this day there was a balloon that escaped and was up against the duct. I wonder if this could be a fire hazard. EVERYTHING BELOW THIS LINE WAS NEVER POSTED IN 2017 and only posted in March 2022 when it was discovered, unposted. If I could give a zero rating I would. In 2017 the store has degenerated into a health hazard and a customer waste of time. Health hazard: the store is filthy from the floors, the windows, the shelves, the checkout counters. The last time I was there the shelves' contents were 25%-50% with many empty shelves. There are always items in the wrong places which I can understand if customers put things back where ever they wish to. There are many items that should be sealed that are scattered on shelves opened and in some cases contents laying around. But the filth is the big DO NOT SHOP HERE for me. In one corner towards the front right there were miscellaneous dirty mops and brooms leaning against the wall. It is a wonder the Health Dept. or the appropriate department in Connecticut hasn't fined or closed the place down. Management is clearly lacking. Standing in line when there is only one check out person is the least of the problems.
