Ordered takeout on a Saturday and hands down the worst food we have had in Winston-Salem. Obviously when you order takeout there isn’t an expectation it will be as good if it were served in-house, but the veal piccata was inedible. We were sure to place our order early in service, as it is a Saturday night and we did not want to overwhelm the kitchen. If you are going to market yourself as upscale Italian and charge those type of prices, this cannot be the product you are putting out. Perhaps reconsider serving takeout if this is the standard.

The zucchini appetizer was really good. The batter was light and crisp. The bread was also delicious. I ordered the capellini puttanesca and it was a plate of sauce over a little bit of noodles with a few capers and olives thrown in. I was very disappointed after the appetizer. My husband got a veal plate that he said was good. The veal was cooked well but a little too much red sauce. Maybe a good place for drinks and appetizers but not dinner?

All 5 of us had amazing meals. The meatballs/meat sauce are the best I've ever had (and I have spent a good deal of time in Italy!). My friend had to ask for a spoon so he wouldn't miss any of the sauce on his lobster dish. The service was tremendous. The ONLY negative is their bread is not good to be kind. A foccacia, but the texture is a little weird and no flavor.

My wife and I have been here twice now, and each time was great. Highly recommend making a reservation or you might have a long wait or be out of lunch. Fantastic meals, good service, good wine selection. This is on the top of our date night restaurant list.
