The United House of Prayer for All People

We got there if we were turned away at The Greater Refuge Temple where tourists are no longer welcome. They only admit parishioners they know. I don't even bother to notify them, they don't care where you come from to attend their religious service. At The United we were received with kindness and without problem. The religious service was very interesting, the band and especially the voices of the shepherds who celebrated the mass and their songs were wonderful. It is an experience well worth the effort.

I went to this church last Sunday, because the Greater Refuge Temple did not allow tourists to attend the service and directed us to the United House. Unforgettable experience, in the worst sense of the word: we were all tourists and only in the second row were 4 "faithful", if they can be defined as such. A sort of young "pastor" began with 3 songs (also out of tune, among other things) and an older one then began a kind of sermon. Very disorganized, they improvised everything. The thing that really outraged me, however, was the fact that they went to the counters with the tray to collect the offers just 10 minutes after the start of the function and on the stage they were counting the money and dividing the goods. I have attended some real gospel, and those are a whole other thing. Too bad, because a tourist who attends such a function for the first time gets a bad idea, and instead this was just a bad and unrepeatable experience. Never again in this place. I forgot! I cannot post photos because they have forbidden us to take them. Rightly… it would have made no sense to photograph nothing.

Wonderful service, and I enjoyed myself very much; it was moving and soul stirring. I enjoyed the food also.
