Despite this being a beautiful church, we had my father in-laws funeral mass here on Friday and I'm just floored by the way the priest handled the mass. He was very unwelcoming, condescending, and we felt judged. We requested a Spanish mass. A lot of those in attendance were Spanish only speaking. The priest had such a heavy African accent I myself who is fluent in English could not understand a word he said. He then became annoyed (eye rolling) when we didn't understand what he was telling us to repeat. Not to mention looking at his watch several times. This is not a free service. You have to pay the church to have a funeral mass. Our overall experience was disheartening to say the least. It's a day later and I'm still very upset by our encounter here. I can go on and on about our experience yesterday but I will end it here.

I just left a meeting with Father Cruz and it is so sad that they make you feel that if you are not a parishioner of that church you cannot offer a blessing mass because the Father simply does not know you, God knows the hearts of all people and He does not deny his Blessing to anyone!!! and I believe that the Father does not own the church so that with such a bad attitude he closes the door on you and denies the Blessing in "his church" that is why young people no longer want to go to church or fulfill the sacraments because with such a bad attitude drives people away and the Catholic church is getting worse and worse and it is not for lack of Faith but for lack of empathy!!!

Oh, the truth i was the ushers of that church plus more. I did not go there any more because of my own private business. This church is more of Catholic church that follows the believe of god. If u want to light the candle and pray in private, ask the pastor of that church, if he say no, that your right to go to other churches that fit for u.
