This church on St. Paul Avenue was built to resemble a very old style of European church in the architecture with stained glass windows and carved wooden pews. The service is a mix of casual and formal with communion distributed in a traditional style. They don't want visitors to receive unless they are also Lutherans if I understand correctly. The congregation is a small but diverse, friendly mix of people. A few children attend but not a very large amount. The music during the service wasnt formal but was satisfactory and upbeat. And they have a music program in affiliation with Wagoner College. The pastor has a style of sermon that reflects kindness and dedication. There is a school for children with special needs. They also have a program to care for the hungry with a pantry of food items to take away and a soup kitchen with a sit down meal on Saturdays. It is a different style of service than St. Paul's Episcopal church a few blocks away. They, like all churches, appreciate those who are able and willing to lend a helping hand 🤲🙂
