Make sure you ask Timotey how much he's going to charge you before he sits you down on your first class. There is a very misleading sign at the entrance that says "First Visit is Free" but on your way out he will charge you without warning. Rude and unwelcoming.

The St. Petersburg chess club boasts one of the best all-around chess club in all of Florida. For starters, the club offers a very friendly atmosphere of all sorts of talented players who often enjoy helping beginners get better at playing the game. While on the topic, the club offers classes from beginner to intermediate level playing skills. They hold rated tournaments several times a month. There have been several players who started at the club and who went on to become formidable high rated players. If you have an interest in the game, I will highly recommend to pay them a visit.
