VT Lake House

This was our third summer at The Lake House with my in-laws and three boys. It is the perfect place to stay. We bring a small boat for towing on the lake, but there are plenty of paddle craft at the house for guests that we also use. The beds are comfy (though it can get warm upstairs). It is a bit on the rugged side, and lacks the safety of handrails and lights that we are used to at home, so that needs to be taken into consideration with kids and elderly or handicapped guests. We love to mountain bike the Slate Valley trails every morning, then spend the day on the lake. Dorset Quarry is also a short drive away, if you like cliff jumping!

An amazing place to stay year-round! Andrew is such a thoughtful host, providing us with ideas of things to do in the area and making sure we had everything we needed for a cozy stay. We especially loved taking the canoe out for a morning paddle in the summer. The lake is so peaceful and it’s a wonderful getaway.

My stay at VT Lake House was pure perfection!! I am still working from home and was looking for a mini getaway / change of scenery for a week, and let me tell you this was the PERFECT escape! Andrew was a great host and the house has everything you need. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, can't beat the views, and great location right on the lake. I'll definitely be back this summer! Thanks again!
