A whole lot of history, trails 👣, museums, shops, cemetery and other things to explore while you're in this historic little town. There are residents off and on throughout the year and as such quite a few of the buildings and mines around here are private property and therefore make sure you have permission before entering. The mines in the area are not safe so enter at your own risk. My advice is I would think better of it, there have been a few close calls by careless people. It's a beautiful area rich in history, have fun looking around and exploring. As always leave it better than you found it and enjoy. 😀 😎

Beautiful, just not much to do. Take a lunch and have a picnic

Do yourself some favors and come here with a good vehicle (don't even THINK of attempting it without one), plenty of time, food, water, and avoid peak travel season/days. Great place to completely dispensary and relax for a bit. The old town is very interesting!

What an amazing preserved historical town. I love how far back it is on the crazy road. The campground was peaceful and the river was awesome to sleep to. Clean vault bathrooms. Loved they had a firepit and picnic tables. If we brought more food with, we would have stayed several days!

Yes, you can. The roads are VERY rocky and uneven, however, so be careful and drive slow.
