***HARD, HARD PASS!!!*** This once great, authentic Cuban eatery has become avoidable. Used to love it then but now new owners, new menu, new mindset. We were media-greeted at the front door with a strong advertisement push towards a certain lifestyle/agenda - huge turnoff! That was the only greeting we would ever receive today. A/C was non-existent and place was sweltering. Beyond uncomfortable! Only 3 tables of diners but we were never welcomed, said “hello” to, or even acknowledged after 10mins. sitting at our table. Cut our losses and walked out. Our takeaway from this return visit was a total waste of time. Such a sad downhill slide for this place. Go down the street on Edgewater Dr. to Cafe Linger - welcoming, great food, great staff, and they have A/C that works!!!! Just avoid CP Cafe. You’ll thank me…. Follow up - just read the owner’s reply to my review insomuch as they only address the advertising and NOTHING said re the unacceptable temps inside the restaurant nor the lack of awareness/hospitality from the staff. That tells you everything you need to know!
