Amazing. It has libraries within libraries. Four different floors and thousands of books. With a children's library, a teen room, and more... This library is amazing for people of all ages.

Hello. Thank you for your question and feedback. The Summer Food Service Program (Summer Lunch) is funded by the USDA and it is a requirement of the grant that meals are consumed on-premises. It is the same department that funds free/reduced lunches that must be eaten at school. The past two years a Grab and Go option was instituted due to COVID; however, the restrictions have been dropped and the Grab and Go option expired. If you ever feel uncomfortable please let a Library staff member know. We want you to be able to enjoy your lunch and the Library whenever you're here. Thank you!
The one downtown, yes

We have computers available. Computer sessions are limited to 45 minutes when other clients are waiting

Yes, all Jacksonville Public Library facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Hi, Yesenia. We are checking on the Spanish language GED classes.
The library has historical exhibits including a plaque honoring Andrew Carnegie I believe these can be photographed with library permission.

Hi, Liesl! As Kristi mentioned, there are meters on the street for parking between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays. Meters are 25 cents for 30 min, max 2 hours. There is also a parking garage on Duval Street that is convenient to the library. Rates for the garage are $2/hour, $10 for more than 4 hours, $10 all day. If you bring your parking ticket for that garage into the library, you can have one hour validated (free) during the week and all day validated on the weekends. There are other lots nearby as well, but these are the options most convenient and most used for those visiting the Main Library. Oh - there's also a Skyway stop across Hemming Park so if you are near another stop, that's not a bad option either. Hope this helps, Liesl! We look forward to seeing you soon!
Yes! you can send in printing requests with files through our website and pick them up. Feel free to stop in anytime to see the printer and ask any other questions. Thank you so much for asking. Hi, Linda! This week is Art Walk and the opening of the next exhibit in the gallery (Reclaimed: Life Beyond the Landfill - art made from recycled materials), so there will be no movie. The next three—in order—are: Creed, Fantatsic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. Thanks for asking!
Main Library on Saturdays 10am-2pm with AARP and the last day for they will be at the Library is April 13, 2019
Hi, Linda! Are you looking for a child? Adult? Any age? Both Thom and Nakia had good plans. You can go on our website at www.jaxpubliclibrary.org and type in "Easter religious" to search the catalog. If the book you want isn't at the Main Library now you can put it on hold and have it sent to the Main Library to pick it up there! If you are able to come in to the Main Library, the Children's books are on the second floor and the nonfiction adult books are on the third floor. Any one of our staff can help you find just what you're looking for. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for asking, Linda!
The Teen Department shares the same hours as the library - Sunday 1-5 pm. You can always find hours at www.jaxpubliclibrary.org/locations. Thank you for the question!
Hi, Deborah! Open Labs are at the Main Library on Tuesdays from 2:30 - 4:30 and Fridays from 1 - 3. E-specialists are available during Open Lab to assist. As others mentioned, computers are available in most libraries but they require a library card (or guest pass). Open lab does not require a library card. We hope to see you there!
It varies. But you can always find the schedule at their website www.jpl.coj.net

Check the catalog, the main location is actually one of the worst for DVD.
Yes, they should get on the computer. Schools have computers that students use. It is so much easier for them to do research for classes. Don't let your child be computer illiterate.
It should be unless there was damage
