The facility was named after Baltimore Colts wide receiver, Glenn “Shake & Bake” Doughty and his signature football move, “The Shake & Bake”. Glenn Martin "Shake & Bake" Doughty (born January 30, 1951) is a former American football player. He played college football as a tailback and wingback for the University of Michigan from 1969 to 1971 and professional football as a wide receiver for the Baltimore Colts from 1972 to 1979. Doughty later built and managed Baltimore's Shake & Bake Family Fun Center in 1982. In 1994, he co-founded Career Information & Training Network (CITN), a St. Louis based company that produces videos designed to show positive multicultural career role models for use in K-12 schools, colleges and corporate America.

The cost of the rink is $200 per hr.
The cost of security is $35 per hr.
Their is a total of 4 in house officers per skate event the total cost of a
3 hr. Session $200 * 3= $600
4 hr. $800
5 hr. $1000
The total cost for security officers are:
3hr session = $420 per 4 officers
4hr session = $560 per 4 officers
5hr session = $700 per 4 officers
