Unfortunately we had an instance where Allbright left pain stains on our panels and only cleaned it after we contacted our HOA. In addition to this, they painted our patio walls without cleaning them first, which affects the longevity of the paint. They complained that our patio was not cleaned, but then proceeded to move the items themselves for painting. I truly wish they had properly communicated to me so that the items could have been moved (by them or us) for cleaning as well.

While your paint may stand strong for 7-10 years while exposed to the sun, other areas will last much longer. We would suggest more frequent touch-ups, cleaning, and maintenance to the sun exposed areas. This will not only keep your surfaces looking their absolute best, but also give your paint a shot at a long and healthy life. A little TLC goes a long way!

If your garage doors are steel or aluminum, there may be a reason to hesitate before painting them. The reason is that they come from the factory with an extremely durable finish, sometimes called "baked enamel" or "powder coated." This factory finish will normally last for a long time and require very little maintenance. However, if you paint over the baked enamel, it will need to be maintained every 5 to 10 years. With that being said, if the existing paint is wearing out (chalking, rusting, peeling), or the house has been repainted and the garage doors no longer match, or the house looks drab with too much of the same color, or if you are ready for a change in the look of your house but are not ready for a complete repainting, you may want to consider painting your garage doors.
