Not only is this a wonderful location, the accommodations are warm and welcoming, as are the owners who live on-site. They consider your every need and are happy to help provide. The entire suite feels like it has been newly decorated just for you. The bed is wonderfully comfortable. The area is quiet, yet centrally located. There are not sufficient positive things that can be said for the entire experience.

The kitchen was in the middle of a remodel. So breakfast only on the last morning. No big deal. The room was comfortable and the owner was friendly and helpful.

I stayed here with some friends in the Butterfly Room and Yorktown Suite. Amy and Paul are perfect hosts and the rooms were so clean. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing out there and reading. The Inn is only a five minute or less walk to the York River—ideal location. The breakfast was delicious and filling. We love staying here!

The Marl Inn is a treasure. Our room was beautiful and comfortable with a subtle theme of birds and butterflies. The grounds are well kept with an active apiary. Visited off season, and the quiet beauty of Yorktown was much appreciated. The Inn borders National park land, so it’s a quiet street. Easy walk to in town or the Batlefield museum. Because of food allergies, we did not partake in Amy’s breakfast, and the in suite kitchen is partly what attracted us. I suspect her breakfast is wonderful, as she is a very gracious host. We will be returning next year as could only stay for a couple nights this visit.
