One of the absolute worst parts of my time at WakeMed, which was in general a good place to work. I'd go to pick up my meds every time knowing there was an approximately 50% chance I'd get my med and a 50% chance I'd get a reason they couldn't fill my prescription. Staff constantly changed, and some of them couldn't perform basic tasks, one staff member would tell me they had no prescription called in for me, and I could turn around, call my practice who would assure me they'd called in the prescription, and I'd walk in 5 minutes later with a staff member who would be able to find my prescription. They will constantly tell you that a med will be ready later today, then call you and say it will be tomorrow, then when you call the next day they will answer and say they never had it and won't have it in the foreseeable future so you need to call another pharmacy. I've never seen a pharmacy that was less concerned about the fact that prescriptions are supposed to be a continuous therapy, they couldn't care less whether you get your meds or not. At every hospital I worked at prior to WakeMed, a functioning pharmacy was just something I took for granted. The WakeMed employee pharmacy taught me that the simple act of obtaining your meds can become a major part of your life when your pharmacy is bad enough. Overall, I'm sad to be leaving WakeMed, but the pharmacy is one thing I won't miss. I guess when you have a group of people that are essentially forced to use your business, customer service is optional.

My husband got his Libre Freestyle from the WakeMed pharmacy, so yes, they carry it.
Try looking at goodrx.com. They have a list of local pharmacies and their prices usually with a coupon.
