I shop here all the time (not by choice but it's the closest market by bike, my only transportation at the moment). Mind you I've been coming here since 2007, so I didn't want to comment any bad reviews. I got my kimchi, some veggies, Ramen, etc.. Ttokbokki was on sale for $3.99 so I grabbed one bag. They were super busy as always (especially on Sunday afternoon); there were a lot of customers waiting behind me so I didn't want to hold up the line and left the store without checking my receipt. But when I came home I found out they charged me twice @ 6.99 each!! What happened to the sale price? Sale items were clearly marked and displayed in front of the aisles. I called the store and spoke with one of the employees who sounded like a Chinese lady (I requested to speak with a manager, but the lady told me she was busy), so I explained what happened and she told me ok and make sure to bring the receipt, I told her I was on my bike and I didn't want to pedal back to store now, so I will go tomorrow and she was ok with it. Everything was fine until when I asked for her name but she didn't want to give me her name. It took several attempts and angry voice she finally told me...why is it so hard to give out the name is beyond me. My point of this review is MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!! Whether this was a employee's honest mistake or not, it happened to me once before so it raises some eyebrows.

I travel from the high desert of California to this particular market because of the great variety of products they sell. Everything from kimchee, Korean pears, cooked foods and an awesome bakery!

Overall Zion Market is a good Korean grocery store but the banchan department on Irvine Blvd is getting worse and worse. The owner is horrible and very rude and I saw the banchan owner arguing with people all the time! (Thank goodness. I never got into it!) All of a sudden they increased the price by 40% since 2020. Just beware that banchan here is very overpriced and you are paying 1.5 times higher than other Korean markets when their food quality is just mediocre. I would never buy banchan here again.

The product display is neat and, above all, the lighting of the store is bright. Supermarkets are okay, and the types of restaurants in the store are okay.

They take your temperature as you enter the store and require masks and social distancing is well marked at the checkout lanes.
I think so.
Varies best to call the store

I don't think so.
Don't know what that is, don't know if they have it. I don't own Zion market.
Possibly frozen but there is prepared food, hot and ready to go. It is Korean though, but you may enjoy it. I certainly do.
Honestly ... I would go to Costco for meats and seafood. Capital Seafood is also good. Zion is good for seasoning and condiments
no
I have not seen the vegetable. But look in the freezer, please.
