On Monday June 27 2022 at about 5 p.m. we visited Von Rothenburg Bier Stube with 4 adults and after some confusion got a table and placed our order on line- as no one greeted us and the interior seating was closed. We were surprised at the limited "German" food options. We slowly came to realize the menu and seating arrangements were only an annex for Big Boy - and that the kitchen in Big Boy was making the Bier Stube food. When our food arrived it was overcooked and fryer burned. we took a few bites - ate the fries and mostly tossed the rest. The server who brought us food was rushed and not paying much attention to the people at the tables. It seems that - no dress code was the norm for all the employees. In previous times - under past ownership - I have enjoyed absolutely great German food and superior service at Bier Stube. However, I would never go back there again to have German food. The only positive was that the beer was actually good. Some suggestions for Chaz and Scott - get someone who truly knows how to cook German food - including sandwiches. Implement a dress code for employees - a T-shirt or polo - that you provide- so staff can be identified would be nice. Change name of restaurant to B B Annex Bier Stube, because that is what it actually has become. Seriously I also worry about their future restaurant "Veracruz" to be located in Germantown- - if my experience at the Bier Stube is any indication of what to expect. Truly one of the worst dining experiences I have had - but the beer was good. Tom

We've eaten here before and the service/food has been great. Today (a Monday) we went and it was fairly busy so we found an open table and sat down. Someone who might have worked there, or been a friendly customer, walked passed and told us to order food on the app and go to the bar to get drinks. I was surprised since we've had servers come to the table before. We ordered food from the app and I went to the window to order beer. The person who walked passed was standing with several friends (all wearing shirts/hats of the bier Stube) and were standing by the bar drinking beer. One went behind the bar and filled a beer up and asked the bartender about 'making money" tonight. I overheard that as I was waiting for the bartender to notice me. Our food came and it was great. As we ate our food we noticed all those folks who filled their own beers at the bar or were wearing "company clothes" still standing around drinking beer as there were at least 4 tables that needed to be bussed and more people coming In. I watched one walk by a table that needed to be bussed, who stopped at the table, looked at it, but then kept walking by. There was no "service" and those who seemed to work there were more concerned about drinking beer with the boys than ensuring customers had drinks and napkins to go along with their food. We don't require much service but kind of expect someone to at least bring napkins and ask about how our food is instead of standing with a group of friends (or coworkers) near the bar and drinking.

Diamond in the rough! There weren’t many people there on a Saturday for dinner and I don’t know why - the food was great, beer was good, and the outdoor space had plenty of seating and festive Halloween decor! I didn’t catch her name but …
