I was picking up a few things after work around 1:30 am, yesterday 6/2/22 when as I was loading my car I saw a SAFEWAY EMPLOYEE run a customer out of the store with an ELECTRIC TASER....this should NEVER be the way people are treated, no matter what...disturbed

Two nights ago at the safeway in Arcata I witnessed an employee instigate a fight with a homeless person. I have never seen a grocery store employee act so aggressively. There was no excuse to be so violent, but the way he was so loud and aggressive before launching into physical violence was the behavior of someone trying to start a fight. It was very loud and terrifying, I did not feel safe shopping there so I left quickly. What kind of store hires such violent people?

My "go to" grocery in McKinleyville for three decades. No, it is not a cut rate store, but I know the normally stocked items, the whole store is very pleasant and the shopping experience very satisfying! The produce section is my favorite, followed by the deli and bakery area!

I love this Safeway because the people who work there are consistently nice, friendly, and helpful. Most of the time I shop online and then pick up my order in one of the designated spaces. That service is also staffed with friendly, efficient employees. Thank you for taking care of us through this Pandemic!
