I have never seen such a cumbersome and lazy consulate in my life. The father's field has memorized this place; eat my father. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A PASSPORT FOR 2 YEARS. Without shame, they still say give an address and we will send it. As if he didn't give it 100 times.

I came, I waited, I left. Staff seems polite but the organization as a whole is very inefficient. I arrived there very early, an hour earlier than my appointment since I am driving for 2-3 hours and can't estimate my arrival time. The gentleman who checked me in gave me a form for my passport and told me someone will help me shortly. I waited for an hour and a half, 30 minutes after my appointment time, and nothing. Even if you walk into DMV you can estimate how long you will wait. Counters behind windows are mostly empty as they disappear in the back. They occasionally come back and say something muffled behind the thick glass. For every 3 people coming in maybe one leaves and the waiting room gets more and more crowded. Even if someone makes it to the passport renewal window forcibly, staff sends them someplace to take different passport photos as apparently American passport photos are not accepted. Bring your own pen, the whole place was sharing just one pen. If you have a US passport, don't bother with the Turkish one, it is not worth it. Save money, time, and frustration.
