Vern's Glass

I am so happy with my retrofit windows and patio door slider. Our home was build in 1986 and had the original aluminum framed clear glass in it. We baked in the summer and froze in the winter. Now, not only do the white vinyl retrofits look beautiful, my electricity bill and heating bill were drastically lowered. Professional installers did a beautiful Job. I have 2 windows left to do (garage) and I will 100% be using Vern’s Glass for them.

Interesting anecdote. I had been working with Vern's glass for a couple days on a window retrofit for my home. Yesterday, while I was examing some glass a contractor came in and wizzed by into the main office. He parked his truck right in front of the door, obviously he was special, & I noticed it read John Allison Construction. Interestingly, I had done business with this guy about 5 years ago. I gave him the key to my house & let him renovate it while I headed back east. He finished the project & I sent him a check. When I returned, I noticed the workmanship was horrible. I called John and asked him to return to fix some issues like pieces falling out of the wall, electricity was dead and a dead garage door opener + other issues. He refused to do anything, I told him I'd sue him but he was loathed to respond. The suit went forward & John won. Security would not let me take my evidence into the courtroom so I could not show the judge wall fragments. It was fine with me & I simply rejoiced for my day in court. Now, I had completely forgot about him & his issues. For over 5 years we've never chatted or seen each other. However, on that fatefull day on 4-27, he wizzed back by me and headed down the road. On Thursday, 4-28, I headed back to Vern's to check on a glass shower door & estimates. Suddenly, the owner came and mentioned "that he did not want to do business with me because there could be a problem." Quickly, I asked him if "John had said that, and he said yes." I mentioned that there was a problem with John & I did sue him. He replied that "he had a lot going on, busy workers & reiterated that he could not do business with me." That was fine with me & I left. Now, of course Vern's does not want to lose business with a contractor. That is quite understandable. Plus, I am just a simple old veteran who writes poetry. I will most likely never see Vern's or John again - so I hope. However, for someone like Mr. Allison to hold such villainy & prejudice in his heart for 5 years seems unimagineable. Retribution, though has a way of assailing the heart as much as helping it.

Vern’s glass was simply amazing. They are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Service was quick and the price was best In the desert. My kids put a soccer ball through one of my windows and Vern’s had it fixed the next day. They also do patios and screen doors which I’ll be using them for both.
