This place is terrible. As bad if not worse than DMV. Currently watching them purse search the old lady that came in after me and telling her to put her tweezers back in the vehicle that dropped her off because they're "sharp and pointy" what a joke.

Ray Marroquin | Jul 19, 2022
Go to Social Security web site , would be the easiest ! If you have a computer. And , or call if you can get through and ask for a change of address form if there is such a thing ! Or , be like everyone else and know they open at 9am. So get there around 7:30am. W/ a good book , your phone and a little patience. A hour of inconvenience will help you , grow some patience in this world that is moving way too fast ! Take your time , and do it right ! Best of luck to you , in this life.....LL KOOL RAY 😎👍🇺🇸😁🙏

You just have to keep calling until you get a live person. Then they will set you up with an appointment. Also look on the website and see if there is any other way to reach them.

call the local SRSS number and ask for an appt. They will try to take care of you on the phone and if they cannot --- they will provide you an apt. It took 3 phone calls and conversations for me --- but eventually I got an appt.

I need my social security card in order to take my Driver's Test. Can you give me a card at your noffice?
Susan Moore | Sep 17, 2020
Mark Milazo | Sep 17, 2020
Susan, if you've already had a driver's license then you don't need a social security card to reapply, althoughif this is the first time having a license then yes you do need a social security card or some form of other ID's, such as a birth certificate or Social security, or military ID.Everybody needs a social security card anyways so it'd be wise to go down and get it just to have it. Yes you may come down here and fill out the information to obtain a social security. Happy and safe driving. I hope this information helps you.

At what age can I collect from my spousal social security Benefits.? I was married for 32 years and I am 61 unmarried now. I was born 10/1957. I don't want to collect on my benefits until i'm about 70.

Dolores Duncan | Sep 18, 2019
I believe at age 62 you can collect on your spouses retirement if your unmarried. The best thing to do is to go to the SSA website. Here most questions can be answered. Or if you dont see what your looking for call the 800 number but, not on a Monday you will be on hold 4ever.
For 2019 (it changes every year) the amount for blind people is $2,040 and for all other disabled people it's $1,220. (That's for Social Security Disability Insurance; the amount for Supplemental Security Income is much, much lower.)
As long as you aren't making any changes to your name or address, you can actually request a new card through the SSA .gov website and they'll mail it to you.
I turn 62 August 15th this year. Can you send me a retirement packet so I can fill out paperwork and know what to bring and when done filling out I can make an appointment to come in?? I can give you mailing address when respond. Thx Elizabeth Aria

My ex spouse everytime he is in a new relationship states he is married. When that relationship is over , he almost immediately in a new relationship and states he is married. How do I file for his benefits if he is in qnd out of purported marraiges

Edward McKenna | Sep 18, 2018
It doesn't matter as long as you were married for more than 10 years you should qualify for 1/2 of his benifit or your own which ever is greater. When he dies you would get his total or yours which ever is greater.
