I was a little hesitant about coming to this Passport Office attached to the Post Office after reading all of the horrible reviews and experiences that so many other have had. BUT I was so fortunate to have had THE BEST experience at my appointment yesterday. My appointment was Saturday, 20 August at 4:45PM. The office wasn’t full and as I walked in I was asked if I had an appointment. The Young Man working was very pleasant and made sure my name was on his print out of appointments and said he would be with me very soon. From what Insaw he was the only Employee working and calling people back. I arrived early so I expected to wait a little longer, but I wanted to be sure to get there and settled in time. I waited maybe 20 minutes. 2 other appointments were seen before me and they were in and out. I was called back and let me tell you Paul could not have been friendlier or more pleasant to work with. He was helpful, knowledgeable and very patient from what I saw other people walking in thinking the walk-in process offer so simple and easy. He worked efficiently and fast, I had my paperwork in order, handed it over to him. He snapped my picture and did one last double check of all of my information for my packet to be sent off and next thing you know I’m paying and being sent off with well wishes and a smile. I SO appreciate you Paul and thank you for making my first time Passport Application Process an easy and stress free experience! If I can offer a piece of advice to anyone planning on visiting this office MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE, the Walk-Ins for this office start lining up at 6AM and they are only allowed 35 Walk-Ins a day which is usually all of the people lining up early and sometimes people still have to be turned away. Do yourself and Paul and his crew a favor and make it easier for everyone’s sake and MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! They can only book up to 4 Weeks in advance so hop to it, they fill up quick! Come prepared, have your paperwork ready and application filled out so you can be in and out! Good luck fellow travelers!

I am not happy.... terrible experience! on 7/27/2022 I went to this office to issue a passport and the old white employee with glasses said : come tomorrow at 7 am. Today 7/28/2022 I went there at 6:45 am and stood for two hours in a long waiting line but no one opened the door I was so disappointed and I left at 9 am with no result. It was a terrible experience.

This review is for the Passport walk in service. 5 stars for how professional, efficient and patient the gentleman in charge of the passports is. First let me tell you what to expect. Yes, they do walk in’s, daily, 7 days a week. But they start at 1030 and they are one of maybe 2 locations in Sacramento that so walk ins. They will tell you to start lining up at 0700 but I read in other reviews to go earlier and I did. I would say 6 am is a good arrival time to get in. Regardless of when you arrive, you get in the line, then at 1030 they open the doors. They pull in anyone with an appointment. Appointments should stand on the right by the door. Then they start bringing in the walk in like 1 customer at a time, unless it is a family. Then they check to confirm you have the correct paperwork. Then, if you have what you need, they let you sign the walk in list. 1 name per line. Each name is is appointment time. Just being you get on the list at 1030, doesn’t mean that is your appointment time. They will have you return at a time based on where your name ends up on the list. So you get in line at 0700 or earlier, wait for the doors to open at 1030, then sign up for an appointment time. If you are at the front, the first few people, you will be able to have the first walk in appointments. I was the second person in line and a family of 4. That is 4 passports. I lined up at 0530 and was done by noon. They don’t create the line or the process. It is just that busy. They are actually very professional. Imagine having to explain that process over and over. They try so hard to be polite and professional but people tend to argue with them or complain because of course we all want the same day appointment and we all have somewhere to be. I get it, but they are actually working hard and efficiently. I saw them non stop processing things as fast as they can. They can do pictures if you need them.

Not sure what youre asking. But you need to bring your old passport and filled out application. They have applications there to fill out
I understand I’m outside waiting for my package just get me a here and I’ll do better than these peeps
About 2 to 3 months unless you pay for expedited service which takes about 2 to 3 weeks on average
Last time I checked. No. U would have to go in and put ur name on the sheet for a time slot. Unless things changed. U can Google appointment USPS passport and see if this office has changed
Not the last time I remember. U have to go in and then put ur name on the list. From there. You can walk away and do whatever u want. The list does get filled very quickly in the morning. U may want to check the USPS site if things changed with this location for making appointments in case I am wrong.
Most likely not. I had to send the original in. And they gave me a photocopy for the mean time
Old passport i.d And s.s.i card
I would show up several hours before the office opens. Without an appointment you are not guaranteed to be seen so you want to be near the front of the line. I've even seen people camp out overnight.
Yes. Try to go early to reserve the spot but Sundays are usually less busy than Saturdays.
1030 630 7 days a week
Yes. 24 hours
Check with the nearest USPS for rules.
I'd go back to the post office and put in a change of address again to make sure it takes. I would also contact the companies/people yourself of the change.
Yes, on Saturday. The offices are closed on Sundays
Prood of address and id
You can do a change of address online for $1 or you can go into the office and fill out a paper form for free.
I think you can look at some photos and some comments people have made to see what those hours are. I can't remember if there's 2 set of hours for this location.
Is the office open for passports now hello is anyone there
No
Child has to be present I'm pretty sure. We had ours there.
Si 7 Days a week
Yes We are. 7 Day operation. The Renewal Application is done by mail. 4-6 weeks routine service and only 2 weeks service if you expedite.
I believe it opens at 10 am; line usually starts around 8:30-9ish
4-6 weeks. They have been quicker at processing these though i feel. U do have to get here early if u want to save a slot for your renewal
Seems like 10am to 5pm
No. Unfortunately not at this time and not at this location. Check my review of this usps, as it may help you with somr information.
The length of time your package will be held varies and is at the discretion of your post office. Generally 7-10 business days.
No. They can take ur picture then. However, it is quicker and i believe cheaper to do it before hand and somewhere else.
Yes. They do a good job at this location. Check to see if you can get an appointment, otherwise it is first Come First Served.
You will never have your original... They keep those. We can only get a certified copy with embossed seal. Go to county Clerk's office and pay $30 or close to to get a copy. That's acceptable for passport.
Yes
No
Yes they do passports here
There is an option one the website. My local office NEVER answers the phone.
Yes, I got mine there. Get there early or there will be a long wait.
3pm
SOME post office locations offer appointments on line. Citrus Heights is NOT one of them. If you arrive as early as 8:30am on the day you plan to submit your application, you can sign up for a time to come back later in the day, rather than wait in line for, what could be, hours.
