Mt. Madonna Archery Range

Great archery range located in Mt Madonna park--which does require an entrance fee. The range is down a dirt road, but can be accessed with a car. The course itself is well kept with clear signage and paths between each shooting area. The targets are in good shape as well. The course is mostly in shade, but the range is mostly in sun.

Leaf Hopper

Shameful & heart breaking. WAS one of the best mountain archery ranges, but now the park mgmt has neglected this once great treasure. The target frames& backing are rotted. The actual targets are incorrect(wrong sizes &wrong configurations). The ground markers that indicate where to stand & yardage distance are removed or not secured in place. The trails to ea target are overgrown & downed trees blocking. This range began & was developed for 50 yrs & was always well maintained. It was a really challenging & beautifully arranged peaceful place to practice archery. The parks department let it go to ruin.

Nice setting, 6 big targets, did not try the field range, should be nice in the forest. I guess you need to pay 6$ for entering the park though.

Very nice hike and extremely nice shots. Will definitely be returning. Only thing I feel to note is lots of poison oak right up onto the trail, other than that it was a great escape from the summer heat.
