A very pleasant Corp of Engineers campground located close to Green River Lake. The lake really isn't walking distance to the campground so if you want to go to the beach or dock, it's best to have a vehicle. Feeling ambitious? Yes, you can walk or bike there. The check in was smooth and hosts were friendly. We camped in Loop A, which was shady with trees and ample space between sites. Sites had electric hookups and water spigots. BRING EXTRA WATER HOSE as the spigot is located at the front of the site, rather than back by the electric. Pads are gravel. The other loop was more out in the open with cement pads and closer sites, electric and water, the grass needed to be mowed as it was knee-high in places. Most of this loop seemed to be where the larger rigs were, although many Loop A sites could also accommodate larger rigs. The shower house in Loop A had two showers in the ladies restroom side and I suppose the men's were the same. These two shower stalls were spartan and just average, smelled strongly of bleach in the morning. Water never did get hot and it took a long time to get it warm enough to take a shower. In the other loop the showers were in separate rooms. These were slightly better in appearance than Loop A. I didn't use them so not sure about the hot water situation. Camp host said they were better... There are two dump stations. We enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Always have a great time at Smith Ridge! I go there regularly! I only wish they would stay open into the fall months. It would really be beautiful during the the turning of the leaves!

Really enjoy coming here. Very quiet and secluded. Restroom does need some attention.

Would advise to bring water shoes as the rocks can be hard on your feet. Otherwise, great beach and really nice campground. Beach is about 3 miles from campground.

We have a friend who lives down by there and he says the fishing is great. We will be going back and giving it a try before the end of summer.
