I know my stuff is safe on this property

I wish I could say my experience was as good as everyone else's on here, but I have to say that the customer service seemed to be pretty hit or miss. I booked my unit online, and when I showed up (to a front office that had a pretty distinct smell of cigarettes), they had me fill out a form by hand with the same information that I entered online. What is the purpose of an online form if I just have to fill in the exact same information by hand? Additionally, the online booking system said that I would be getting a ground unit, but I ended up with a second floor unit. This wouldn't be a big deal, save for the fact that there aren't any elevators at this location. I didn't realize this, and when the front desk asked if I needed a fork lift, I didn't understand why, and they offered no explanation. Anyway, they had someone (whose English was somewhat difficult to understand) show me to my unit, which I did appreciate at least being led to the location. The entrance to the stairway is partially blocked off by a camper that appears to be filled with junk, which later made it difficult to pull my car up to unload. Once I asked the gentleman showing me to my unit if there was an elevator, I then surmised the reason for the forklift. I went ahead and pulled my car in and unloaded my first round of stuff. When I tried to leave, there was no obvious way to get out of the compound. Someone from the front office finally came out to explain (in the last friendly interaction that I had with them) that I had to punch in my code again when leaving. Maybe this is par for the course at most storage locations, but this was a first for me. It's also not that close to the gate, which also would have made it more obvious. In any case, I later came back to unload my second round of stuff without much issue, though there was only one cart for the entire second floor that another family was using for part of the time that I was unloading. I had a third round of stuff that I was planning to bring back, and was careful to note that while the office closed at 6, the "yard" was listed as being open until 6:45 on a sign posted on the door. As I proceeded to drive to the gate, a car ahead of me punched in their code to leave, and the gate was left open. I figured, as with most places, tailgating would be frowned upon, so I proceeded to punch in my code after they left, even though the gate was still open. Then the woman from the front desk came out and in a somewhat patronizing tone said "the front gate is going to close if you don't hurry up and leave!" I was a little taken aback and explained that I thought I needed to enter my code first, and, in fact, I was done by the time she came out. I went home, gathered up the rest of my stuff, and came back around 6:15. I started punching in my code to enter when the same woman leaned out of the office and simply yelled "It's 6, we're closed!" Why, then, is there a sign listing separate times for the office vs the actual storage compound? Not the worst experience, and I could be irritable from packing up all day, but I wish everything was more clear: the open / close times, the sign-in procedure, how to enter and leave the compound, and what to do if your unit is on the second floor. If these were improved then I think all those unpleasant interactions could have been avoided altogether.

I'm a new customer. I've appreciated the helpfulness and friendliess of all the staff I've encountered. The facilities are clean and secure.. cameras are everywhere, and a manager even lives on site for added peace of mind! Keep up the good work!

That particular situation never happened.
That's a hard question to answer. There really isn't a parking lot at all. People go in through the gate, then find their way to their unit. They then park in an open area near their unit. You shouldn't have any trouble as long as you have a ground floor unit.
