I had a great experience with Animal Service League! The people there very clearly care about what's best for the animals and provided me with a lot of great information. When I went to visit the shelter, it was very clean and spacious and I was able to take home my two new kittens within a week and a half of putting in an adoption application. Please don't be dissuaded by the negative reviews, they all seem to be those whose applications were denied for understandable reasons.

I'm very surprised with the negative reviews. We had a great experience with Andrea from Animal Service League. She's professional, caring, knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and offered insight from her personal experiences as a cat lover/owner. Clean facility and friendly staff.

We currently do not have any dogs available for adoption. When we do, we don't have a service dog training program. There are several other dog groups in the Rochester area we recommend you contact. Good luck and thank you for thinking of us!

Yes, they have 5 or 6 large rooms with lots of well-taken-care-of cats. Call Andrea for an appointment as you can't just drop in to see them.

We do hope you found your dog! We do not take in many dogs and the dog you describe does not fit a description of one we have taken in. We would suggest you try the animal control in your town and the larger open-admission shelters, such as Lollypop and Rochester Animal Services. Good luck!

How much dies neutering cost

Anne Flagler | Sep 18, 2018
Andrea Catone | Sep 18, 2018

We are not spay or neuter clinic, so we only provide vetting for animals in our care and that are owned by us. There are many local organizations that have low-cost, or financial based programs for vetting that you can research online. Good luck and thank you!
