I know this is late but you can. You will have to buy a new one but they will put it back in the bear. I think mine was 10 dollars when I did it but I suggest calling the store for details.
You could always bring your own stuffed animal and just buy an outfit. But their cheapest bear is usually $12. The clothes are like 5 to 10 a piece.
Did you try taking it to build-a- bear? If there is a paper tag with something of a bar code or upc on it, I believe they can scan it and let the owners know... new ever done it, but we get all ours coded for that reason.
It's 8.00 for a new sound box I have done it a few times for my daughter's animal over the last 10 years
