Ventura's is a very elegant restaurant. The food though, is not great. Don't get me wrong, the presentation is very lovely... but the food itself is dry and not pleasing whatsoever. It was my mother's birthday, so after we ate, she had got the chocolate lava cake. DISAPPOINTING. It was tiny, dry, flat as a pancake, and had NO FILLING. Never coming back.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and beyond good service. I'd go as far to say it's the best Italian restaurant in Utica. In the same family for 80 years. A must go place to eat .

Ventura's is a classic for many years. The Ventura family has owned and operated this restaurant since the 1940's. Some of the best italian food in central NY. When you dine in it is like going back in time, all good. Especially for those of us who have been dining there for years. Worth the visit. Try a few different dishes and share. Bon Appetit!
