WTH? Amtrak. Why are you leaving your customers out in the rain so to speak. I was going to apply at Amtrak in Lawrence KS, but will not work for company who treats customers as such! 🙁

Terminal never opens. Sign states 30 minutes before train scheduled but nobody ever shows to open. Train scheduled for 5:05, arrived 7:15. Terminal remained closed.

Amtrak told us the station would be open even if the train is running late. We didn't find out that the station wouldn't be open and wont open until 30 minutes prior to arrival (a sign on the door) after we were dropped off at 11 pm. The train is now running an hour and 30 minutes behind and my children as well as many more passengers are waiting outside...in the heat...late at night. There isn't a number to call or a person to connect with.

I have left my car in the parking lot next to the train station and for a week and have never had a problem.
I was at the Amtrak station recently, I saw no indication of a charge for parking.

They just updated the train station. I can't confirm how long it will be around but I wouldn't expect it to shut down in the next 6-7 years. Worse case Union Station in KC is less than an hour away.
