Rude staff. Especially the clerks at the check in desks. Too little medical staff. Therefore- the wait times to be seen are very long. I avoid this clinic because of the awful treatment from the staff and extremely long wait times. One star because you built a clinic that is too small (on purpose to save money) and fill it with incompetent and rude employees. I avoid this awful place- and only go if absolutely necessary. I almost die in Iraq hundreds of times to be "welcomed" home by the awful staff at this and other VA clinics. And why was the kiosk removed at the Pembroke Pines clinic? We need to submit travel pay and check in to appointments. The clerks are now overwhelmed checking people in. Why is this happening? Awful just awful experience especially the rude employees and negative attitudes. Again, I avoid this place at all costs- and only go when absolutely necessary. If you force patients to wear a mask- force your employees to wear it (many are not). And the negative and rude behavior (and horse play- talking- hanging out) from employees needs to stop. Treat the patients with courtesy and respect. This is not the case with this clinic- and thats why I avoid this place.

Very upset! I came to get Covid 19 testing done and had to wait outside. The bad part about this was that the staff outside did not tell me they had waiting area so I just sat on the floor by the entrance. Maybe because I was Latino they lacked the communication. I hope this was not the case! The worst thing about this I am a licensed health care practitioner and ex VA employee. I really hate to see this lack of customer service to any VA Veteran especially when I went all out for my veterans when I was employed at the VA. The only positive thing was the doctor. She was kind so I would like to give her kudos for that.

Yes they do offer COVID-19 testing at this clinic. However they typically will ask you if you have COVID-19 symptoms. If you say that you have COVID-19 symptoms then they will test you to confirm that you have the symptoms. Thanks Claude Gibson
No you can just go in and they will take care of you.
As the spouse of a vet, I go there quite often. The departments do take walk-ins, but emergencies are referred to the Miami arm of the facility. The average wait time cannot be estimated, but the attendant will tell you around what time you will be seen(if an opening is available).
Any co-pays depend on your veteran status if it is a service related incident no. If your primary care provider doctor has given you a referral to the eye clinic then there may be a small co-pay depending on your veteran status class.
Is there a way to get the form online?
