We waited for ever. From 5:00 pm to Midnight. They kept taking my husband in an out. To do one thing at a time. He started screaming at the doctor. We had not eaten. Other people were worse. I sat talking to a lady who had been there since 2:00. A young lady kept crying in pain. Another gentleman kept throwing up. I love Baptist. But I have never seen anything like this. The customer service. Leaves a lot to be desired!

I visited the ER department & although the building looked great/impeccable as per usual & their staff did their best, I totally saw the need they have for more staff. It was busy and the nurses [which im 100% sure are overworked, underpaid, undervalued and dehumanized even though they’re doing their absolute best because that’s *the Baptist Way*] looked very stressed. This review is more about the management and administration in charge of staffing appropriately/safely and compensating fairly than the on shift staff. The staff from administrative assistant to nurse to ER tech I encountered were great given the volume and acuity of patients that walked through their doors and patients i could hear. The management team including the CEO that is responsible for providing a quality workplace clearly sucks. The Baptist health name ONLY holds weight because of the staff that are dedicated to helping people, nothing more. Do better for the people who give their 1000% and give your health system name an actual meaning.

Questions & Answers

Baptist hospital is no longer the great hospital my children 40 years. How much of a break do we need to give them. The nurses are third class the care is not no longer. No standard is measured anymore.

Your insurance has nothing to do with it ,you have to be patient I went with out insurance for kidney failure and kept me for two weeks some of the staff isn't friendly but the hospital is clean and they move quickly . You have to open your mouth to the staff scream holler if you have to but trust thats the best hospital to be at .
