The staff made this place great! We stayed here for a week and half while apt hunting. The bed was comfy, the room clean, and the staff beyond friendly. The continental breakfast was pretty big, though I chose to eat my own food. The pool was small, but people enjoyed it every night. Most of the hotel staff was very friendly and made staying in a single room for an extended period of time more bearable. I highly recommend staying here if you need a hotel in the Chesapeake area.

My son lives in Chesapeake, and when we go to visit this is where I stay. There are lots of Marriott properties in the area. It's not the fanciest, it's not the cheapest. The rooms are basic, but very clean. Breakfast is standard. Coffee is good. I come here because of the staff. These are some of the friendliest and most professional hotel people I've ever met. (I'm a Titanium member, so you know I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years!) I've stayed at very expensive Marriotts who could learn a thing or two about welcoming customers from this little hotel in Virginia (I'm looking at you Toronto Marriott!). This is the best place to stay in Chesapeake!

I stayed for week for a business trip. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was wonderful. All the staff was super friendly and helpful but one particular member stood out, Miss Tracy at the front desk made my visit fun not only did she help me with every request that I had but she put a smile on my face every day when I walked in the lobby! I plan on staying here again for future visits, highly recommend!!

Front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Hotel seems to be older and possibly updated in the past few years. Shower drain looked like it needed some repair. You can tell the tub had some kind of retro fit over top of the original.
