We had a pretty bad storm come through our area and rip some shingles off our roof. Shawn scheduled us in quickly and did a great job fixing the issues. I would definitely recommend Armor Roofing to anyone!

Actually, if you asked this question a few years ago our answer would have been, “There is no way to tell unless we see the roof. Be very wary of any contractor who gives you a roof estimate before seeing the condition of your roof.” However, that is not necessarily the case anymore. Thanks to new technology, we can actually assess the condition of your roof without even visiting or climbing on top of the roof. There exists new satellite and drone surveillance that can be used to capture high resolution overhead photographs of a roof, giving a pretty good idea of the scope of work and what needs to be done. Another advantage, using this technology, is that you do not have to worry about whether there “really” is damage or not. We have heard stories of some of our unscrupulous competitors actually damaging a roof themselves when doing an inspection, trying to make it look like hail damage when the roof is perfectly fine. Now, an expert like a roof adjuster can probably tell the difference between real roof damage and “faked” roof damage, so this will come out eventually and will often result in your roof not being reimbursed by your insurance company. This is one of the many reasons you should go with an established company known for its work like ours, instead of the many “here today – gone tomorrow” storm chasing teams that frequent the Midwest. But when the inspection is done without someone on the roof, you know any damage that can be seen in the photographs was not caused by a dishonest contractor on top or your roof. So therein represents a good reason on top of convenience for satellite remote inspections unless there is something unique to your situation that requires a up close assessment of the situation.
Absolutely! And you are smart to ask as seeing if a contractor is a top rated company is one of the best ways to determine who has done well by their customers. Check out our rating with the BBB and our litany of 5-star reviews online at sites like YP.com, Facebook, and Google. We can provide you with live references to speak to as well. At Armor, we encourage you to speak to our past customers.
Absolutely! Just give us a call to come over to your house, and we will take a look at your roof. You are under no obligation to pay us anything, regardless of what we recommend. Most of the time the roof will be just fine if you are calling just to get a periodic checkup. A roof inspection will provide you with the piece of mind to know that a hidden leak is not silently destroying your property value and home security with it.
We offer our roofing services to the community Mon-Sat, 8:00 AM-8:00 PM. Call now for information regarding holiday hours.
Yes, we specialize in roofing, siding, gutters, and home remodeling.
Costs vary greatly depending on the pitch of your roof, the type of shingles you have, what condition the roof is in, and how many layers of shingles you have. The best way to find out the cost is to have a quote done.
While a lot of people think that a leaking roof needs to be replaced, this may not be the case unless the roof is old. Missing, cracked, broken, and curling shingles can be repaired and replaced to stop a leak, while older roofs or roofs with multiple leaks or widespread issues should be replaced.
Yes we offer roof inspections.
Not necessarily. Leaks can result from flashings that have come loose or a section of the roof system being damaged. A complete roof system failure, however, generally is irreversible and a result of improper installation or choice of materials. The roof system installation may also be inappropriate for the home or building.
Most new roof systems are designed to provide useful service for about 20 years. Some roof system types, such as slate, clay tile and certain metal (e.g., copper) systems, can last longer.
All too often, roof system problems are discovered after leaking or other serious damage occurs. Periodic (twice-a-year) inspections often can uncover cracked, warped or missing shingles, loose seams and deteriorated flashings, excessive surface granules accumulating in the gutters or downspouts, and other visible signs of roof system problems. Indoors, look for cracked paint, discolored plasterboard and peeling wallpaper as signs of damaged roof areas.
