A flat trail geared toward people of all ages and abilities (ie. people were being pushed in wheelchairs and little ones in strollers). Beautiful greenery and a flowing creek that many were in and exploring. The Cataract Falls were a beautiful part of the walk!

Easy day hike. I took my dad who has dementia and he enjoyed it and was able to see the cataract falls and we did the nature trail. Gonna take my small grandkids back soon. They would have so much fun there. And lots of photo opportunities. Just an over all easy hike exspecially for those not used to hiking

The hike to laurel falls was 8.6 miles to get to it so needless to say we didn't go that far but the short distance that we did was very beautiful and already had 2 little waterfalls to satisfy us I am one day going to go back and take on that challenge to see the big beauty at the end but I recommend being in shape and prepare for a long all day adventure

I am so glad visiting this area in Fall. (Early Nov. 2020). Cove Mnt Trail brushes along our cabin rental "Camp Rocky Top" at 1803 Luzerne Drive, Gatlinburg, TN 37738. This cabin is at about 2560 ft. elevation. A short well marked path downhill from the side of our cabin takes you to the trail. Once I hit the trail, I turned right started going up. I started the stroll at about 7:30 AM taking my time and enjoying the fall surroundings. Went up to about 3100 ft elevation and had to turn back as I started to feel peckish. Must've been about a mile each way. (Bummer! Didn't pack any snacks). The walk back to the cabin was naturally much easier.
