I had lasik surgery 14 month ago and my vision has never been worst. I have visited DLV Vision repetitive times and even though my prescription has been fluctuating after the surgery, sometime on a weekly basis, the doctors continue to tell me that everything is fine. Just last week I went to a new optometrist and my right eye tested at 1.75 on Friday and 0.75 three days later. In addition, the headaches and my dry eye symptoms are severe and have lost many days at work. The clinic and staff seem very professional. However, when something goes wrong, it is in that very moment when their staff or management will never call you back. Up till now, I have not been able to speak to any doctor or manager. I am not sure what the long term consequences will be but for now, the current symptoms have been enough for me to loose sleep over it and as I have mentioned before, I have also lost many days from work as well. At this point I am already consulting my lawyer to strategize a plan of action against this medical practice. Based on my experience and a miserable past 14 months, I would not recommend this clinic at all. Lastly, if you have an accent I would emphasize DO NOT GO to this clinic. It was obvious to me after a couple of visits that these doctors think that an accent = ignorance and as a result they will not listen and they will not treat you equally.

I was told for years I was not a candidate for Lasik and so i put it off and never follow thru and now at age 50 I decided to at lease try and Dr. Pham was very up front and was not sure because I have so many eye issue and Astigmatism but reviewed my chances and we proceeded and i am so glad he took me on as a patient, I can see and don't need contact, i only have a light 1.25 reading glasses that I got at a drug store for reading my phone or a menu in dark restaurants - very please and wish I did it sooner! Thank you Dr. Pham

One of the best experiences I have had ever in a surgical procedure! The team at DLV was so friendly and helpful from the start at the front receptionist desk to the surgical assistants, especially Dr. Bala! She does wonders for people that want Lasik. I couldn't be happier with the decision I have made. Thank you again, Dr. Bala, and everyone at DLV for taking care of your patients!

Questions & Answers

When can I go back to work and resume normal activity after LASIK surgery?

Chelsea Brown | Sep 17, 2021
DLV Vision - Camarillo | Sep 17, 2021

Patients can typically return to work and resume normal activity the day after surgery. Exposing eyes to water from swimming pools, hot tubs, the ocean or intense perspiration should be avoided for 7 days following surgery. Dusty environments and eye makeup should be avoided for the first 48 hours following surgery.

What sort of results can I expect after LASIK surgery?

The goal for surgery is to reduce your dependence on glasses or contact lenses. Following LASIK, many patients achieve 20/20 vision. Nearly all are able to pass a driving testing without glasses.

Is surgery the only option for cataracts?

Chelsea Brown | Sep 17, 2021
DLV Vision - Camarillo | Sep 17, 2021

Without surgically removing the cataract, most patients will continue to have blurred vision, which can lead to significant vision loss. Removing the cataract surgically is the only way to improve vision.
