Eagle River Trail

Pedestrians on this trail are at great risk of being mowed down by bikers! They whoosh around people at too high speeds and WITHOUT WARNING. Also, this is supposed to be a non-motorized trail but electric bikes and scooters now are being used on it. This trail—unlike other shared use trails (see photo on walkway to Beaver Creek)— has NO SAFETY SIGNAGE, such as a bike speed limit and signs telling bikers they must yield to pedestrians and give a warning when passing. This trail has become more and more hazardous over the 12 years we have been using it.

Great, well-maintained, surfaced hiking trail along the Eagle River. Good choice for a short or long hike with easy hiking conditions. In many locations along the trail it is easy to forget that you are in town. Wooded with the relaxing sound of the river. Several places to rest. Relaxing. Happy Trails.
