Mon, 27 Jun 2022 4:25 PM • Not too far out of the way off I-80, located on the westward bound side with connection to the eastward bound side via road going under I-80. • Plenty of big truck parking • Enough car parking. • Restrooms 🚻 entry on truck parking side. • Picnic areas • No open fires. • No overnight camping. • Restrooms simple & clean.

This is a nice big rest stop with room for a lot of trucks to check out Elk Mountain. The wind maker!

Plenty of parked. Careful driving in if it has been snowing. It seems like they never come here to plow the lot.

Took the off road trail on the 402 from this spot . Toward Rawlins did not run the full 51 mi off road did like 20 .. Used a 2×4 xterra not a full off road rig.. Was pleasant n fun got some good pictures .. No 2 wheel drives after a rain a couple of spots (creeks ) could get muddy.. Happy trials....keep the shiny side up..
