I believe you will have to use standard handicap transportation services, whatever your city provides (Broward Tops?) or call a taxi or ride service, or ask a neighbor. There are not enough shelter resources to make individual pickup runs.
Governor declared a state of emergency for the whole state today. Thursday.
If you have empty bottles (soda, milk) fill them with water. If you buy a cheap 8x8 plastic painter's tarp, you can use that as a clean liner to put in your bathtub, and then fill that with 80-100 gallons of clean water for drinking. Pots, pans, plastic buckets (good for flushing toilets, not necessarily drinking) are all useful. There is no need to waste money on bottled water.
The police or paramedics might be able to evacuate you but I don't think there are resoyrces for that. You will need to call routine handicapped transport (Tops?) or share a taxi or uber with a neighbor, who may also be able to give you a ride. If you plan to evacuate, GO NOW before that becomes a mess. If you plan to go yo a shelter, they may open on Saturday, listen for the news and go early. Take earplugs if you have them. The shelters can be crowded and noisy but you should be safe, dry, and fed.
Only when there is immenent danger. If you are east of Federal Highway, or in a low area, and storm surge is expected to flood it out, there should be a mandatory evacuation.
