Holiday Inn Express & Suites Van Wert, an IHG Hotel

As a truck driver I found myself with a truck in the shop and needing a place to crash for the night. The company I worked for set up the reservation and the front desk attendant finished the quick and simple check in. The room was quite nice with a seating area with TV just inside the door, a kitchenette further back and finally the bedroom area with another TV. The room was clean, everything worked and I was pleasantly surprised to find the bed was quite comfortable with a generous amount of pillows.

Awesome sizeable rooms, wonderful breakfast, great service. They were constantly cleaning and kept everything neat and clean. Hand sanitizer was available everywhere.

In town for business. My room and the hotel was clean and inviting. Could use some updating, no place to plug in phone charger at night stand.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Van Wert, OH for a business trip. When I walked in I was greeted by hotel staff to check in. While I was being checked in, I noticed a white board with guest names and a tier system as well. I remember staying in Holiday Inn's pretty often and did not notice my name (not that it matter that much). I joking told hotel staff that I had an account with Holiday Inn and don't see my name on your board. After I got my room key I headed to my room, I stayed in a standard king with a jutted tub. The room was great everything was neat and the room was very clean. The jetted tub (Jacuzzi) looked very old and unwelcoming. However, everything in the room was pleasant. I headed back to the parking lot to grab my bag, and when I was walking in the lobby my was my name was on the white board and I was happy to see the hotel staff looked up my account. Overall, I would stay this hotel is a great option to stay when you are in the city of Van Wert.
