As a Palm Beach County resident that pays a tax for SWA services, which comes with limitations, is THEFT! The yard debris guidelines for residence in a zero lot line community is great, but applying those guidelines to the residence of the Acreage, Loxahatchee, and close surrounding areas is ridiculous. We get letters about maintaining our yard, keeping the trees out of the power lines (which in worse case, FPL will send out a company) but when you take pride in your home and property you trim the trees on a regular basis. Sometimes there is a large tree you have to trim and you take it to the curb for pick up, and sometimes those trees may be larger than the maximum (6 cuft) that SWA restricts. SWA clearly knowing this about the Acreage and Loxahatchee should be prepared with more trucks, bigger trucks, etc. to get the job done. Something needs to be done about this and I’m sure I am not the only one with these thoughts and concerns.

I first want to thank the garbage pick-up crew, and the recycle pick-up crew. They are interact with my children, and leave things neat when they are done. I have three stars because of the yard waste pick-up crew. They cherry pick what they want to put into the back of the truck. If it isn't palm fronds, they leave it for the claw truck that may show up. I understand that we are allowed a six yards of yard waste per week, but I wonder how many people hit that mark weekly. Most people I know have a few scraps weekly, but have a large pile a few times a year. Is it not possible to pick up part of a pile, then return a week later to get the rest? My neighbor and I work together. He doesn't have room on his property to put his yard waste, so we share my space. Last week, we made about 12 yards of waste separated into two neat piles. My neighbor talked to the men, and gave them water. He tried to explain that these two piles, for two residences equal 12 cubic yards (6 + 6). The men picked up the small scraps, then the claw truck tagged the piles. What are we paying for? If you make a mistake and put 7 yards out, does SWA charge you $8 times 7 yards for a total of $56? If so, why isn't the first 6 yards considered part of the weekly limit, and charge $8 for the extra yard?

Not picking up piles of yard waste which is within guidelines, not providing any notice at to why. Not answering phone calls, DO NOT HAVE VOICE MAIL SETUP. This service company needs to be removed. My tax dollars not going to them.
