The best thing we ate which was actually quite good was the curry chicken. I would go there just for that. However, the jerk chicken meals we ordered were not good. The rice and peas was hard. I don't know if it was old or what but it was basically inedible. The jerk chicken has sauce slathered all over it which I would have preferred on the side. The oxtail gravy was way too heavy and not very good. It also tasted like something in the plate was burned. I thought the cabbage was good as well but I would not order jerk or rice and peas from them ever again. I believe they served us old rice or burned rice that was scraped from the bottom of the pot which is unacceptable. I will say the customer service was great but the food I was served was not what I was expecting from such a highly reviewed Jamaican restaurant.

My Youth has the best customer service of any of the many Caribbean themed restaurants I’ve tried in the surrounding areas. On top of that, they have my favorite jerk chicken and cabbage. Very rich and authentic flavors and if you like it spicy, they’ve got that covered. Highly recommend!

I don’t think I’ll be back. Found hair in my food and the gravy for the oxtails was too sweet. I have red locs. So this hair did not come from me.We apologize that you didn't have the best experience but we assure you all of our staff wear hairnets 24/7 we are unsure how this could have happened because none of our staff has straight long hair as pictured but as always we appreciate your business!
