Oak is a gem on the busy Boulder downtown strip, offering risk-taking new menu options that delighted us. Foremost, the staff is friendly, dedicated, and caring as they helped move some things around to get us out of the Colorado sun. There is a vast selection of cocktails and niche beer, alongside a menu that has a little for everyone. The summer sausage was delicious, the bread was warm, crisp, and homey. For our main courses everything was delicious, but in need of some fine tuning in our opinion. The cerviche broth was a bit too bitter and acidic, saved by the diced tomatoes included. The skirt steaks were also great as well, but avoid if you have a shrimp/shellfish allergy. Finally, the pasta was enjoyable all the way through. Will come again for the great staff and exciting menu.

Fresh, light and harvesty flavors. Enjoyed the crisp mushrooms and roasted carrots. The fish and sweet pea ceviche were also 🔥 and then the roasted chicken and leeks were juicy and perfectly prepared. The sauce game is on point here - every dish is glazed or dipped into a complimentary flavor that enhances the flavor. Great wine menu as well! Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.

First, I would like to leave a shining review for our server Nile. We dined outdoors today 10/13 and it was really cold out. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. He was efficient and courteous. We will be back! Thank you Nile! The food was excellent we had the pretzel, kale salad, and rotisserie chicken. Exquisite!

I was tasked with planning a dinner in Boulder CO, while I am in New Jersey. Those at Oak were pleasant to speak with and helpful during both of my phone calls to the restaurant. We had a phenominal waitress we practically gave a standing ovation to. The manager and sommelier was simply fantastic. Everyone I came across during my CO trip heard about the fantastic meal and experience at Oak. Anytime I find myself back in Colorado I will certainly be stopping back for a glass of wine and those melt in your mouth scallops and bursting tomatoes over gnocchi!! Thank you for a wonderful evening Oak!

They switched from Open Table to Reserve for online reservations. I would call about the rewards.
Most evenings there is space, Wednesdays and especially Saturdays this restaurant is busy. Summer is a little slower than winter. Hope this helps.
There are always vegetarian small plates. There is usually one option of the four large plate entrees on the menu at any given point in time. I am sure that they might be able to accommodate, exclude, or substitute (within reason) ingredients for vegetarians in certain dishes that are almost vegetarian, but not quite all the way there. They are very friendly.
