There are two separate train lines that run into Dutchess County. They both go north to south one is the Harlem Line that goes from Grand Central to Amenia which they consider wassaic. the other is the Hudson line which goes from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie and points further north. Amtrak is also on the Poughkeepsie side. There are limited buses if any any running from the Eastern side of the County Route 22 to the western side of the county Poughkeepsie. Ever since the state facility pretty much closed up there's not a regular bus service that comes out this way. You would have to call Dutchess Loop bus to see if they still run buses out to the Ten Mile River station by Taconic Developmental Center because that was the last stop left that they used to do.
