Good prices good food service fair

The restaurant was pretty empty, I asked for a take for 3, the hostess days it's a 15-20 minute wait, I felt this was strange since nobody else was waiting and I can clearly see lots of empty tables, I asked her about the wait time and the empty tables I see and I was told they were trying to keep spaces between people, I understood and said no problem, after my wait time, I was told my table is ready, we were seated in an area where everyone was super close to each other, so what the hostess originally told me was obviously not correct. Anyways, we sat, and sat, it took maybe 10 minutes of sitting there before someone came to our table to say hello, not sure what's happening here, but all the servers were just standing and talking behind a small counter near the back, curious if there was no management on schedule, tables were being cleared by waitresss, no bussers around so I assume maybe working with limited staff, I don't mind waiting, I can understand being short staffed, but I feel communication to clients would be a big help so we are not sitting around clueless as to why things are the way they are. The food was good, it came out in a timely manner once the order was taken, so the kitchen is doing their part. This is just an experience of what I had tonight and I normally go out to eat for a good meal and an experience, my experience was not a great one, only the food. Please communicate with clients and simply let us know what's happening, we will understand, don't just let us sit there. Thanks for understanding. I will return at a later date. I returned tonight and had great service and great food. The management was on top of things and making sure the staff was doing their jobs.

Excellent food and great service. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and the mashed potatoes was delicious
