Horrible, I had to pay for another ID because the lady told me the wrong information, so then i called to late when my ID didn't show up. No one wants to do their job anymore and it costs me more money because of it.

After 25 years in Los Angeles I have to say that visiting the rarely-crowded, always friendly DMV in Cooperstown is a speedy pleasure.

Just drove all the way there to see a tiny pink notice on their door that the office is closed due to covid. Google lists the DMV as currently open. …

We always go to DMV in Cooperstown. Everyone there are great. Always helpful and polite.

Just show up during office hours, wait in line. The hoops to jump through to get in the building are not too bad. Standard stuff, temperature check, metal stuff on the conveyor, answer questions.
You just to get a vision test done. They have several places listed where you can do it conveniently.
They are handling car registrations by mail, or by dropping off a packet.
They are taking packets by mail, or place it all in an envelope and drop it in the box in the entry way. (A guard may take it for you at the door.)
Anytime. They have a drop box right inside the front door, just talk to the security officer outside
Make an appointment and make sure you have everything you need. All paper work signed. Make sure you dot I cross your t's.
By appointment only
Because the document requirements are so specific to the enhanced and real I'd, I would refer to the list online or the pamphlet in the office. To start, you will need state certified birth certificate Or Valid passport (there are other acceptable proofs should they apply to you (perm res card, certificate of naturalization, etc)) social security card or current w2 or 1099 with the full ssn, current drivers license, if you have EVER had a name change or if a middle initial is indicated anywhere you must have that proof (legal court order,marriage/divorce,etc) , plus two proofs of your correct physical residence address. So, in your case, if the correct address is on the FRONT of your license you may use that as well as a current bank statement .
Its a defect. Bring both plates into any DMV office and they will replace them for no fee.
