we went on a weekday and had a great time. already in town for the brevard zoo but it was really hot then rained buckets on us later that day, the next morning i randomly found this place and im so glad. 3 floors of dino, mummy and other cool stuff, a huge gift shop with amazing stuff and a game room {with admission all games were free)then for $11 a pretty cool amusement ride (up to 6 ppl for 11) . plus live gators, snakes and lizards. it was really cool, literally cool.. the ac was a blessing after the zoo. well worth the money. the gift shop has a lot of high end stuff ... but they have little cheaper stuff too and its all priced as expected. definitely an underrated place, id never heard of but glad i googled things to do ... They should really get the word out more, "museum"or "store" does not 🚭 do it justice... MUSEUM - ARCADE- EXOTIC ANIMAL EXHIBIT - AMUSEMENT PARK+GIANT GIFT SHOP better describes the experience and considering the prices you pay to do any one of those things Id say its a great bargain.

Love my geode windchimes. They make a great gift as well! Everyone was very helpful. Their jewelry is very nice as well.

Once upon a time, it was a bit of a tourist trap and really just a big gift shop. However they really invested in the museum and have made a great facility. If you have kids, you could probably skip the museum and just do the downstairs play area but you'd also be missing out on some really cool artifacts and displays. We took our 3 year old through the museum and she had a blast (but also got a bit scared at times by the life-sized models!)
Yes. Most scientists classify dinosaurs (including the velociraptor) as reptiles. However some (including myself) are of the opinion that they truly belong in their own distinct classification.
The store is free. The adventure zone is free for under 2, age 2-15 cost $8 per, 16 and up, $6 per person. There is also a museum, $14 adults, $12 seniors, $10 youth.
Yes. The elevator is big and can accommodate a wheelchair. The walkways and areas are also easily big enough for a wheelchair.
You will see a variety of artifacts that include meteors, minerals, different types of bones, and more! For the meteor, the best way to go is with an university in a geology dept.
They have quality toy models by Papo (these are pricey but gorgeous!) and Safari Ltd., a few less expensive but lesser quality models, stuffed toys sorry didn't check the manufacturer, and Giant Microbe stuffies.
$10 for admission to the museum and $10 for the "fun zone". Unless you have kids under 10 I would skip the fun zone. Not worth the $10 each IMO. Ask to look at it first...
The first floor dinosaur store portion is free. Rates for other portions of building are on their website
Yes we will be open 10am to 6pm with tickets to the Museum and Adventure Zone being sold until 5pm.
No Charge to check out the store. There are 2 seperate areas that we charge admission for. The Adventure Zone is $6 for adults and seniors and $8 for kids. It has arcade games, science stations, a movie cave, and a live reptile room. The general admission covers all of the games and there are a couple of optional add-on activities. A ride ($3) per person and a panning activity ($8) where you can sift for fossils and minerels at the water sluice. The Museum upstairs is our 2nd and 3rd floor. Its admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for kids. It is a 20k sq. ft. facility. Elevator accessible, the 2nd floor is the Hall of Dinosaurs and the 3rd floor is the Ancient Cultures mezzanine. There is a combo ticket for both admissions that is $19 for adults, $17 for kids and seniors, and we offer military discounts as well. Wristbands are good all day. Open 10-6 Mon-Sat. 12 to 5 Sundays. We stop selling bands an hour before close. *Note* Closed Tuesdays in the off season.
Velociraptors were about 87-90% feathered.
To REALLY see it, about 2 hours... but my son and i (he is 6), got a good look and read a few articles in about an hour
I only walked around in the store section. Did not do full musuem. It was a cool place though.
I was there not too long ago. It is open on Sundays but they don't open til noon. And that includes the museum upstairs.
