Regarding Officer J Perez who made an awakening mistake while in Orlando over the weekend. My heart and Prayers are with him, his family and his co-workers.. If, it wasn't for Officer Perez arresting me a little over three months ago, I probably would have never quit my drinking. This too was a life changing event for me due to the shame, guilt and humiliation I went through. Over the last three months I voluntary omitted myself into a residential behavioral health facility which I committed to a months stay and continued their outpatient program for another month. I'm very proud of my accomplishments by now being the person my Wife and six adult children once knew. I truly believe and Pray that Officer Perez can do the same. I also hope Officer Perez is given another chance in life with his job at WMPD and his family. We ALL make mistakes. God Bless Officer Perez and his family. Kevin Armstrong

Our tax dollars shouldn't fund WMPD if officer's sit and socialize while on duty with their friends for extended periods of time instead of deterring crime. This has been an ongoing issue with this female officer, who's vehicle #8692 is currently parked in front of said resident. She also allowed the homeowner to move/operate (drive) her patrol vehicle, which is against department policy. This ongoing issue has previously been reported to IA, the chief and the mayor, (evidence provided) without repercussions. This is completely unacceptable! This time, I assure you every surveillance camera in the neighborhood has this incident on camera. Ironically enough should you read the reviews, the individual I'm referring to female officer (Kimberly Weeks Utsler) gave her own department a 5 stars review. Talk about a conflict of interest.

Some of them are legit but there’s something real off about how most of these officers run their program. Seems like it’s just the West department.

Yes, many times. Have been threatened by them numerous times also. They were observed by my neighbors on two separate occasions breaking into my two separate homes. They have blatantly lied on more than one occasion to have me "detained". Finally, after YEARS of torture and abuse, the "chief" was fired and the "commander," who got caught stealing drugs from the evidence room for his own consumption (https://youtu.be/NyHfH_Wu-LA)was "retired" I thought perhaps things had changed. After they bully adults, they came after my son's friend and lied about him... He had to go to court and PROVE the "officer" lied, which he did successfully. The bully officers disgust me. I have NEVER EVER in MY ENTIRE LIFE had a problem with ANY police force or authority figures, including my time in the U.S.A.F., except for the several West Melbourne police bullies. I NEVER would have believed any members of "law enforcement" would have behaved so abominably had I not experienced it myself so many times.
Probably not. WMPD TRIED to give me a ticket for parking in a handicapped spot which was a BLATANT LIE. LUCKILY, I had walked out of the store with a female employee who witnessed the entire event with me. She even accompanied me BACK into the store to tell the night manager. He came outside with us to observe the lie. Now I had 2 witnesses with video surveillance. The store manager said he saw an off-duty WMPD cop shopping and informed him of the situation. The cop gave me a phone # to call, which I did. The mgr and employee were still with me during all of this. The lady on the phone told me to go to court, I said "no" get a supervisor out here I'm not moving my car. She advised me to bring the ticket into the police station, I said, no, I'm not moving my car. A friend came, got the ticket and took it to the police station and watched the lady tear it up. The Walmart employees said they never saw such harassment. This was but one time the WMPD lied in an attempt to enrage, the goal
Police academy if u were not a police officer before
No they have no power over utilities, or any right to interact with personal property unless a warrant or probable cause is given. However under the land load tenant act an officer can inform a tenant they they are not obligated to pay rent if there is no cooling, water, or electricity in the home or any infestations, because under the Florida landlord tenant act it is illigal to rent such property
