...i have a ton of great things to say about this office - so much so - that i could actually go to work for them... to help continue the great salesmanship, customer service and overall satisfaction that we have received in being their client. our journey with clayton - dunn began while we were still residents up north in md. my wife and i are 66; into our 3rd year of retirement and were contemplating moving down to nc.... as my wife's mom at 84 still lives in the area close to dunn. and while my wife had lived in md. for the last 36 years (where i met here up there), her heart and birthplace homestead was there in nc. so we began to explore the possibility of moving. our process initially took us to the clayton office in fayetteville nc. where we immediately fell in love with the clayton model "ultra pro 68". they had a fully furnished model of it there and within "seconds" we began to imagine a new life for us in that model (that model only!) for us - this would be our first time ever in considering a mobile/manufactured home, as all previous houses were brick/mortar constructions. however, after careful considerations of all factors up to and of course including total costs/affordabilities, we settled on the Clayton homes process. we thought we were about to start the process at that Fayetteville office, however the salesman we got there seemingly was just not aware of how seriously we were contemplating the move/process in coming to nc. once back in md., we awaited his "promised word" of follow-up - but it never truly came. even after several of our repeated calls to him, his responses were terribly too far and few to eventually none. thus on another visit to nc. to my wife’s moms home, we decided to venture into the clayton dunn office. upon our arrival, we were greeted most cordially by a lady that said she'd have a sales person meet with us momentarily. that person turned out to be a great person - named ronnie edwards. why do i say "great"... it's simple. the gentleman is a consummate professional in his approach, demeanor, compassion and overall knowledge of the model we were interested in. in addition, as well as going the extra "mile and a half!"...(not just a mile)...to help us through the overall road to moving from md. to nc. as time moved on in our process, we hit bumps in the road with all kinds of county requirements, processes and methodologies that to us were 100% completely foreign and different from any other experience we had ever encountered in our long history of home ownership. the county we were moving into had pricings for things that were beyond unreasonable, very stiff requirements on the building and placement of the home, etc. and even after our home process had been approved and the home was just about to be placed we were faced with a "last minute", gut punching $3,000 fee to deal with "fixing" septic tank lines not for our home; but for my wife's mom's home! that had been in the ground for over 40 years prior to us doing all of this. (our new clayton home was being placed next door to her mom's - on a segment of her property). so, yes there were headaches, there were bumps here and there, but as they "floated" up to us, the help we received from the staff at the clayton-dunn office was stellar. michelle there, the customer service manager was beyond great, very personable and multiple times she literally put herself in our shoes... when she was addressing problems and our needs to keep our process going. and then there was ronnie..yes, that gentleman kept us motivated throughout all of our hurdles - no matter what they were. he never abandoned us at any given moment. never. and the office manager - charlie page was 100% instrumental that our needs were met at all times; in the event ronnie or michelle were not available at any given moment. charlie was great as well, as he helped us with our single wide trade-in, in the beginning of our journey. clayton-dunn nc. is the place to go!! if you want excellent service, but with a "hometown", very personable experience. they're great!!
